SmartPractice is a family owned enterprise consisting of a number of affiliates companies serving specific vertical markets. For over 40 years, the SmartPractice family of companies has been a diversified organization providing practice management and patient communication solutions to clients throughout the health care community.

We are looking for a Material Handler I who will be responsible for assisting with the packing and fulfillment of orders on a daily basis.

SmartPractice practices a same-day ship for all of our customers. This requires flexible work schedules in order to meet daily variances in shipping.

Skills / Requirements

Essential functions of the job (in order of importance):
1. Efficiently pick, and QC customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is picked. Assemble orders for shipment.
2. Must be able to achieve productivity standards as determined by Department and maintain accuracy of 99.70%.
3. Must be familiar with warehouse systems to maintain inventory.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adhere to a work schedule that demands flexibility.
5. Maintain equipment and work area in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Comply with OSHA and company standards.
6. Comprehend and adhere to good distribution practice requirements (GDP).
7. Employee is required to provide friendly, accurate, consistent and timely service to our customers. Employee must also demonstrate positive and professional behavior on a consistent basis. Providing excellent service to our customers is priority for this position.


REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED

Experiences (work or education): Material Handling and warehouse competencies.

Characteristics: Industrious, punctual, flexible, team player, and problem solver who has the ability to work with deadlines and understands how their work affects others and the business. Must maintain positive attitude at all times.

Skills Needed: Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, multiple) and write legibly. Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least two hours straight, four times in an eight hour day). Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper techniques to lift 35 lbs. The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important. Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements. Must be able to shift priorities easily. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.

Equipment Requirements: Conveyor, pad pack machine, PC, material-handling equipment.
